What's Ekcetera all about?

We get asked that a lot. Ekcetera is a creative studio focused on creativity and good design. We pride ourselves in takling many areas of creativity. We're brave when it comes to trying something new! We offer hands-on solutions for those wanting to be involved in the creative process as well as full-service options to make your life easier.

Ekcetera is different from most creative companies because of our unique philosophies about business and the way design happens. Our scope of offerings spans several markets, but focuses around finding the best creative solution for your unique set of needs. Every client at Ekcetera receives personal attention; we go out of our way to create the best project we can. You'll always find us using the industry standard in software and technology, and we're always searching for and developing new and unique ideas.

Who are we?

The idea behind Ekcetera Productions began in 2003 by its President and Chief Designer, Kelly Garrett. She's discovered in herself an unusual combination of the tolerance of ambiguity that creativity provides while thoroughly enjoying the rigid details of running a business.

After growing up in Fargo, ND, Kelly attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2003. Her major was information systems and she had a minor in music.

Shortly after graduating from UND, Kelly jumped into graduate school and recieved her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, MN in 2006. During her graduate study, she aggressively worked on establishing Ekcetera's foundation.

Kelly enjoys music, photography, dancing, interior design, travel, and especially time with her family. She lives with her husband and daughter in Inver Grove Heights, MN.
